The Acorn Club offers children the chance to enjoy outdoor activities and games that are linked to the natural environment. This includes activities such as nature walks, games, pond dipping and mini-beast hunting.
Activities last about an hour, some are based on the Village Green others involve exploring the woodland, heath and meadow. If it is wet there will be activities under cover.
The Acorn Club is open to 4 to 12 year olds; under 8’s must be accompanied. Parents are asked to collect unaccompanied children from the Village Square at the end of the event. Children must become members before taking part in an activity.
For certain activities, advanced booking is required due to number limits, and a small charge may be made.Check the events programme on the notice board in the village square for these details.
How to become a member
Children must become a member before attending activities. Members will then recieve newsletters during the winter months.
To become an Acorn Club member a membership form must be completed by the child’s parent or guardian and returned to reception, before the day of the event. Membership cards should then be available to collect from reception in time for the next Acorn Club activity. Membership cards should then be brought along to all activities.
If you completed a membership form last year, we would ask that you do so again to keep our records up to date.
