Cycling Challenge Starts at Kelling Heath

Starting and finishing at Kelling Heath Holiday Park in North Norfolk, the Norfolk Huff & Puff Cycle Challenge on Sunday 28th June 2009 is designed as a day out for keen cyclists and non cycling partners and families alike. For those who wish to enjoy a weekend exploring Norfolk’s coastline, the award winning park is offering three nights for the price of two on touring and camping pitches.

Although similar in format to other sportives, with entrants challenged to complete leisure rides of 25, 50 or 100 miles it's not a race, the Norfolk Huff & Puff Cycle Challenge is an event with a difference. There are some great offers on accommodation, with events at Kelling Heath Holiday Park ranging from guided walks to a live jazz band and also a barbeque. Discounts are available on some great local attractions.

The rides, sponsored by the county sports partnership Active Norfolk, will follow quiet lane routes based on the Norfolk Coast Cycleway. The 50 mile ride will take in the magnificent vistas of Holkham Hall, whilst the 100 mile challenge will visit the popular resort of Hunstanton. There will also be a 25 mile come and try it event for less experienced riders.

Its destination is the atmospheric village of Binham, famous for its newly refurbished priory and home to the real ales of The Chequers public house. The event is a boost for the Holiday Here campaign, as it expects to attract riders from across the Midlands and the South East.

All participants will benefit from mechanical support... and free showers on their return!

The challenge rides are being organised by Huff & Puff Cycles, a hire business which has operated out of the Kelling Heath Holiday Park for the past six years.
