Life Cycle Success at Kelling Heath

Kelling Heath Holiday Park rose in the region of £300 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) that provides a vital, lifesaving service across the region, during the ‘Life Cycle’ charity bike ride event organised by themselves and the National Trust’s Sheringham Park.

The ‘Life Cycle’ also provided an opportunity to celebrate the brand new traffic-free 5 mile cycle route that has been developed to extend the options and enjoyment of cycling in this part of North Norfolk.

The National Trust at Sheringham Park has worked closely with Kelling Heath Holiday Park while developing this route from Kelling Heath through neighbouring Weybourne Forest Lodges and on to Sheringham along the Cromer Ridge, and then back again. There is lots of wildlife to see as the track passes through varied countryside and conifer woodlands, and passes by isolate farmland.

Mark Durrant, Kelling Heath Manager said: “Despite the rain around twenty five brave souls, including Helen McDermott who claimed never to have ridden a bike before, ventured out to explore the new cycle trail from Kelling Heath to Sheringham Park. It was fantastic fun in challenging conditions and helped raise money for a worthy cause. I am sure the route will prove to be a big hit”
