Please note the following for The Acorn Club:
The Acorn Club is Kelling Heath’s nature club for accompanied 4 – 12 year olds.
It offers children the chance to meet new friends whilst learning about the environment and the wildlife that lives there.
All children must become members in advance of an Acorn Club activity.

Events & Acorn Club Activities
• Events can be booked at the Saturday 4.00pm Acorn Club Welcome session and on weekdays in reception from 9 – 10am.
• Adults must accompany children under 16 for all events.
• Prior booking is required for all events unless stated.
• There is a charge for some events.
• Some events are run by outside contractors who may charge – details are available from reception.
• For all activities meet at The Folly in the Village Square unless otherwise stated.
• Any charges and changes of detail will be displayed on the Village Square Notice Board.
Acorn Club Craft Activity
Make a willow dragonfly, join our watercolour workshop, bag painting and Green Man mask making, feed the birds by making your very own bird cake, make a watercraft using natural materials and attempt to float it on bottom pond!. For bag painting there is a £2.50 charge
Acorn Club Love Bugs
Follow the bug trail and learn to love and understand the life of the minibeast. Free.
Acorn Club Pond Dipping
Discover the life that lives in and around our conservation pond. Equipment is supplied. £2.50 per child.
Alby Craft Workshops
Pottery, Fused Glass Coasters and Stained Glass sessions. A charge applies.
Archery
Full instruction for adults and children over 7 years of age – please book in the Orchard field at 9.15am. A charge applies.
Art Workshops with artist Angela Bellamy
Watercolour workshops for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Other workshops for all ages with Angela include Corn Dolly’s, Silk Painting, Dry Point Print and Felt making. £5 per person
Bee Walk
Put on a bee keepers hat and join us for a walk to the bee hives. Free
Bushcraft
Join Jason Kidman and discover some outdoor survival techniques.

Nest Box Making

Rock Pooling at West Runton
Meet us at the car park and join us rock pooling. Equipment supplied.
Time will depend upon the tides. £2.50 per child
Seals from Morston Quay
A boat trip from Morston to see the colonies of grey and common seals. Followed by a ‘meet-up’ at Cley NWT visitor centre for coffee.

Star Walks
Norfolk and Norwich Astronomical Society will be here late into the night to explain the clear, vast North Norfolk skies through their telescopes. Details of dates and times will be advertised in the Village Square as this event is dependant upon the weather and cloud cover. Free
Story Walk and Talk
Storyteller David Tonge from ‘Past Imagined’ tells tales for all the family as we walk through the woods at twilight.
Tennis Coaching
Improve your skills with our local tennis coach. Ages 5 – 16 years.

‘Xtreme’ Cycle Trail
Join ‘Dangerous Dave’ from the Countryside Team on a bike trail for the adventurous! Suitable for experienced, accompanied cycle riders over the age of 12 years. Don’t forget your cycle helmet!
Wildlife at Kelling Heath
Join the wildlife team of Peter Walton, Jason Kidman and Jerry Kinsley for Spring bluebell and dawn chorus walks, summer bird and butterfly walks, evening bat walks, moth detecting and a walk at dusk to seek out the rare, elusive nocturnal bird, the Nightjar. No charge.
