Wherever we go and whatever we do we have an impact on the environment. Here are just 5 small steps which go a long way to making a difference...

Reduce, Re-use and Recycle!

At Kelling, 100% of our waste avoids landfill.

The best way to achieve this is to prevent waste wherever possible.

Refuse packaging and bags you don't need, re-use carrier bags and only buy what you need. When in our Village Square dispose of waste in the correct bin; this helps our waste contractor to achieve even higher rates of recycling.

Stay Local, Eat Local, Buy Local and See Local

Supporting local businesses helps to maintain North Norfolk's unique character.
Details of local markets and establishments can be found in Reception and your welcome pack.
If you want something local to take home, try our ‘Naturally Norfolk' section in the Village Store.

Give the car a rest - walk, cycle or hop on the bus!

Give the car a rest - walk, cycle or hop on the bus! Some of the best views and sights are often seen away from the roads.
Why not give your car a rest and explore the countryside on foot, bike or jump on the train that stops inside the park!
For information and suggestions on great days out try our ‘Top Ten Places to Visit in Norfolk' as voted by our guests.

Respect nature and the local community

Help us to look after our environment by taking litter with you, leaving gates as you find them, clearing up after your dog and refrain from lighting fires.
Most importantly, have fun!

Be energy and water wise!

Kelling Heath goes to considerable efforts to conserve energy and water!
Help us to reduce energy consumption, light pollution, and CO2 emissions even further by switching off lights, taps and heating devices that are not in use.
We deliberately do not provide external lighting outside of the main areas. Doing so allows guest to enjoy the night skies in their purest form. This is why we suggest you bring a torch!
Please enjoy your holiday, and with your help we promise to do all we can to look after our special environment for your next visit!
