Management Accountant

Salary: Up to £45k pa depending on experience

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Location: Meridian Way, Norwich with weekly travel to our 2 Norfolk holiday parks

Reports to: Financial Controller

We are seeking an Excel wizard to join our friendly finance team as a Management Accountant. 

Why we need you…

As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely management accounts, weekly financial reporting, forecasting and preparation of other financial information.  You will be organised, with a proactive approach, strong communication skills and the ability to carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy. 

What you’ll do…

    • Finance business partnering of allocated departments to ensure that department managers are aware of their budget position and the commercial impact of their decision making.  
    • Full preparation and analysis of the monthly management accounts and supporting schedules 
    • Working with FC and business budget holders prepare budgets and quarterly forecasts  
    • Assist with audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of the annual financial statements 
    • Continually review of accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations 
    • Planning and delivery of the internal audit programme 
    • Deliver and supervise the production of full balance sheet packs on a monthly basis and ensure the trial balance reconciles 
    • Production of weekly flash reporting and forward forecasting of income streams. 
    • Completion of VAT returns and partial exemption calculations. 
    • Production of other financial analysis as required. 

This is not an exhaustive list, as we are a small team there will be the opportunity to be involved with other areas to develop and grow in the role. 

What experience you’ll bring…

  • The ideal candidate will have very strong Excel skills, with the ability to extract data from system tables and manipulate into useable information
  • Ideally a part-qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) or qualified through experience, with strong commercial acumen as well as proven technical ability.
