How big are the touring & camping pitches?

There are five pitch styles to choose from:

Can I bring pets, are they allowed in Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes?

We do not allow any pets in our luxury holiday homes or lodges.

We allow a maximum of two dogs per pitch on the Red Squirrel Touring area ONLY which is situated close to the dog walking area.  
Please be aware, dogs must be on leads at all times and must not be left unattended.
Please clear up after your dog and use the bins provided.

We do allow dogs to walk throughout the park although they must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
We ask dog owners to respect those touring and camping guests who do not have dogs and who are pitched on the Yellow Dragonfly and Blue Butterfly areas. When walking your dog(s) please keep to the main roads to the side of both these areas and do not enter into areas where these guests are pitched.

What are the rules for dogs on the touring areas and are all breeds of dog welcome?

We would refer you to our Booking & Hiring Conditions point 14 (b)which states:
(b) Dogs are only permitted on touring pitches booked on the designated touring pitch dog area (subject to a maximum of two dogs per pitch at Kelling Heath Holiday Park).
Certain breeds of dog are not permitted on Kelling Heath or Woodhill Park in order to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all of our guests. These are:
Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or a cross breed of any of the breeds shown.
If you are in doubt about whether your dog will be permitted, please contact the park prior to booking for confirmation.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times and must not be left unattended. We reserve the right to require the owner of any dog (whether or not of the breeds referred to above) considered a nuisance, or affecting the comfort of guests, to remove it from the Park.

Do all pitches have electric hook up?

All pitches have electric hook up points included within the nightly tariff, the service is available if required.


What do I need to connect to the electric hook up point?

You will need a 16 amp outdoor cable, with adaptor cable. These can be purchased from the Village Store or from most camping stores.

Outdoor cables can be hired from Reception for a £50 refundable deposit; availability may be limited during peak periods. 


Can I pay when I arrive?

To be allocated a pitch all payment is needed at the time of booking or 6 weeks prior to arrival.

During low season we can make provisional bookings that can be held for 5 days without payment of a deposit, on confirmation we require a deposit of £75 for Lodges, Holiday Hire Homes and Touring Pitches to secure the booking. The provisional booking will lapse if no deposit is paid. Provisional bookings cannot be taken where the holiday start date is within 7 days.

During low season you can arrive on the day without a prior reservation, as you will not have been allocated a pitch prior to your arrival pitches will be subject to availability.


What do I need to bring with me to check in?

Your confirmation that you have received either through the post or via e-mail is all that is required to check in.
For Welcome Back Breaks and the published offer for touring caravans and tents you will need to bring the original booking confirmation with a valid voucher code to show on arrival.


What time can I arrive/depart?

Arrival time is 12pm for touring visitors and 3pm for Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes. Departure time is 10am for touring visitors, Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes.


Do I receive discounts when booking online?

Only if you have a validvoucher code. For Welcome Back Breaks and the published offer for touring caravans and tents you will need to bring the original booking confirmation with a valid voucher code to show on arrival.
If you are unable to book online and would like to take advantage of any offers that we have then please contact the Reservations Team on 01263 58818, please have your voucher code available.


Can I request a pitch when booking online?

When booking online all pitches are allocated in order of availability so if you have a specific pitch you were looking to book please call our Reservations Team on 01263 588181


How can I pay for my holiday?

We accept debit and credit cards except American Express and cheques, though no cheques are accepted less than 2 weeks before arrival


When/How will I receive confirmation?

Confirmation will be sent to you on the day of booking. If this is via e-mail it will be received the same day if it is by post please allow 2-3 working days


What is the difference between the Heron, Nightjar and Bittern?

The Heron, Nightjar and Bittern all sleep 6 persons.
The Heron and Nightjar have two bedrooms and a pull out bed in the lounge suitable for children.
The Bittern has three bedrooms and no pull out bed in the lounge.
The major difference between the Nightjar and Heron is size with the Nightjar measuring 40 x 14 ft and the Heron 36 x 12 ft. the other difference is that the master bedroom in the Nightjar has an en-suite
The Bittern measures 39 x 12 ft.

Do I need to bring my own sheets and bedding?

No, all sheets and bedding are provided and the beds are made up ready.
We do not provide bedding for cots.


Do I need to bring towels and tea towels?

Towels and a tea towel are provide in the Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes.


Is accommodation wheelchair friendly?

Can I choose a specific pitch?

Yes you can, please call our Reservations Team on 01263 588181 to check availability as this is not available online


Can cots/high chairs be hired?

A travel cot is provided in both Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes. Please note that bedding IS NOT provided for these cots.

Highchairs can be hired from reception, although we do ask for a small deposit which will be refunded when returned. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to hire one.


How far is it to the seashore?

The nearest seashore to Kelling Heath is at Weybourne which is about 1.5 miles away by car; turn left as you leave the park and follow the signs to Weybourne, at the first junction bear right then turn left onto the A149 then first right, this will take you to the seashore.

There are many fine beaches to explore in North Norfolk from the unspoilt and open beaches of Holkham and Brancaster (favoured by everyone from kite-boarders to film makers), to the family friendly sands of Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer and Mundesley, the North Norfolk Coast is truly remarkable.

 


Do the North Norfolk Railway Trains stop at Kelling Heath?

Yes we have our own Kelling Heath Halt which is a request stop.
Due to the gradient, steam trains can only stop on the return journey from Holt, and cannot stop when travelling from Sheringham / Weybourne. However, diesel services can stop in both directions.
We also sell Rover tickets in reception at a discounted rate.

Tickets can be purchased from Reception (dependent on time of year) with discounted fare provided to rover, hop on hop off travel.

Is the Health & Fitness Club an additional cost?

The Health & Fitness Club is an additional cost and can be booked at the time of booking (phone only) or any time prior to arrival or on the day you wish to use it.
Passes available include 1, 3 and 7 days  
Those occupying Woodland Lodges have complimentary membership of the Health & Fitness Club for the duration of your stay


I don't want to use the gym can I just pay for a swim?

All facilities are included within the cost of the Health & Fitness pass; unfortunately it is not possible to just pay for a swim


Am I allowed to have a BBQ?

Yes you can have a BBQ although we do ask that it is free standing and raised off the ground.
ONLY CHARCOAL MAY BE BURNED
Open fires and chinese lanterns are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN due to the risk of fire, thank you for your cooperation in this matter


Do Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes have a DVD or CD player?

Yes


Do I need to make a reservation for the restaurants in advance?

We would strongly advise making a table reservation in advance, whilst we will still continue to welcome ‘walk in’ guests, in order to avoid disappointment please call 01263 589913 or alternatively pre-book a table at the host station in the Forge & Terrace entrance, or at any till point in the restaurants

How do I book acorn events?

Acorn Activities can be booked from Reception either by phone (up to 7 days in advance of your stay), or whilst you are staying on Park.
Please be aware that there are limited spaces available for some events and these will be booked on a first come, first served basis.Acorn Events can be booked 7 days in advance.


Will I need a torch?

To help reduce light pollution and to maximise the enjoyment of the night sky lighting at Kelling Heath is kept to the main public areas and touring amenity buildings. Guests are advised to bring torches for their own convenience


Can we use Drones during our stay?

Kelling Heath and Woodhill Park are both classed as ‘recreational areas’ by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The use of Drones is therefore STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT BOTH KELLING HEATH AND WOODHILL.
