Springtime at Kelling and Events on the Coast

Springtime is always a fantastic time of year for our park. Warmer weather stimulates vegetation and a multitude of wildlife begins to stir after months of quiet, as bats, adders, toads and hedgehogs all begin to emerge from hibernation.

Plants start to grow, too. Greenery is once again restored with buds, flowers and blossom all breaking through across the park. On the northern side of the park, bluebells cover the hilly slopes and migrating birds return from their winters spent in Africa and wider, including the nocturnal Nightjar, which lives on the heath and can be recognised by its strange churring call.

Springtime also means a busier time of year for our guests, too. It was great to see so many of you visiting for the Easter holidays and with Spring Bank Holidays approaching in May, now is the perfect time to enjoy the final stretch of spring here at Kelling. As well as our beautiful surrounds, there is plenty to enjoy and look forward to on the North Norfolk coast.
