Summer Events in the Local Area
Now that spring is coming to an end, you’re likely to be looking for events that will get you out of the house in the warmer weather, especially if you have kids off school who you need to keep busy!
Luckily, we know of several, great events that are happening in the local area for you to enjoy this summer.
Cromer Carnival
One great event happening locally this summer is Cromer Carnival. Over a week, from 11th-18th August, enjoy a range of family activities, with dressing up, live music, local food and fair rides, all ending in a carnival parade, it’s like a mini family festival, and it’s all on our doorstep. Only 15 minutes away from Kelling Heath, so that you can easily travel to and from the carnival each day, and don’t miss a thing!
Sheringham Carnival
Similar to Cromer carnival, Sheringham Carnival is another week of family fun with a variety of events and live music happening. Running from 29th July-5th August, there’s plenty to do and get involved in, so that both you and the kids will never get bored.
Holt Festival
If you want even more of a chance to enjoy a range of great performances, Holt festival has plenty to offer. With live music, poets, dancers, comedians, actors and artists, you’ll definitely find something here that you love, and it’s on from 21st-29th July, so you definitely have time to enjoy as much as this event as possible! It’s also right near Kelling Heath, so travelling far isn’t an issue.
Wild Wednesdays at Brancaster Beach
This event is a little further away, but completely worth it! Brilliant for the kids, Wild Wednesdays at Brancaster Beach is run by the National Trust and offers a full day of 50 fun activities for you to take part in. From flying kites, to sandcastle building, to animal tracking, to scrapbooking, there’s an adventure here for everyone. Running every Wednesday from 25th July-29th August at varying times, just turn up whenever is best for you and join in on the fun!
Cromer Pier Show
The Cromer pier show at the Pavilion Theatre is now the only end of pier show that runs every summer and winter. The show is always great fun, consisting of a mixture of music, dancing, comedy and speciality acts from a number of professionals, it’s a great day or night out for families and people of all ages.
Classic Ibiza
If it’s dancing you’re after, then Classic Ibiza is the perfect event for you. Happening on 10th August, it features the Urban Soul Orchestra alongside other live DJs and singers, all of which will perform classic Ibiza anthems for you to dance the night away to.
Kelling Beer Festival
Of course, we can’t forget about our very own beer festival. Taking place at Kelling Heath Holiday Park on 28th June-1st July, it’s a weekend of exciting activities and entertainment alongside, of course, good food and ale. With something for both the kids and the adults, everyone is guaranteed a good time – and if you’re staying on site, you don’t even have to worry about travelling there!
