Kelling Heath Holiday Park raises thousands for The Benjamin Foundation

The Benjamin Foundation is delighted to announce that two years of support from Kelling Heath Holiday Park has resulted in a donation of over £12,000 being presented to the charity.

The North Norfolk based park raised the money in several ways including dinners for its holiday home owners and with donation tins on the park.

Mark Durrant, Operations Manager at Kelling Heath, commented: “Because we’re a family destination we were keen to support a charity that works with and helps families within our community. The Benjamin Foundation was a natural and very rewarding choice. Some of our staff visited The Benjamin Foundation’s supported accommodation for young homeless adults in North Walsham, which allowed us to understand the great work they do and for us to see first-hand how our donations will be used.”

As well as raising money, Kelling Heath hosted one of the charity’s key fundraising events last summer as Chris Elliott from The Benjamin Foundation explained: “Our annual Butterfly Walk is our big summer event; a fun family walk with a trail and quiz questions to solve. Kelling Heath was a great venue and everyone there was very supportive in making the event happen. Over 150 people took part and this event raised more than £3,000. We have really enjoyed working with the team at Kelling Heath over the last two years and thank them for their valued support.”

The Benjamin Foundation was set up 21 years ago and since then has been helping people across Norfolk, and soon neighbouring counties too, to deal with some of the challenges that life throws at them; from ‘everyday’ problems such as finding affordable childcare or furniture, to heart-breaking issues like homelessness, bullying or abuse. The charity works with children, young people, families and individuals delivering services that provide hope, opportunity, stability and independence.
