From dog-friendly beaches to National Trust Sites, there are lots of 'paw-fect places' to get tails wagging! Our pet-friendly accommodation options include 3 Woodland Lodges and dedicated Camping Pitches in the Red Touring Area

Enjoy our Dog-Friendly Lodges Near the North Norfolk Coast 

Dog-friendly facilities include a ‘dog wash’ station at the Red Touring Area and outside each dog-friendly lodge. There are dog bowls with access to water located around the Village Square. Why not pop into Brackens Café or the Village Store to purchase tasty treats for your pooch?

Whilst dogs are permitted at the Park Café, bar, and restaurant, please ensure your dog is on its lead and under control at all times whilst out exploring the park and surrounding areas. Kelling Heath is a haven for wildlife and nesting birds, that can become disturbed or injured.

Dogs are not permitted in bedrooms or on the beds in the lodges but are allowed within the other rooms. Please bring your own dog bed where possible.

Yes, there are many dog-friendly activities and attractions surrounding Kelling Heath including many walks and dog-friendly places to visit and eat. We have a local information folder located at reception which you can look through for pet-friendly ideas and inspiration.

Dogs must always be on leads and under control at Kelling Heath Park and must not be left unattended in the lodges or around the park.

A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted per lodge or pitch. Charged per dog, per night on pitches and inclusive of the price for dog friendly lodges.

  • No dogs to be left unattended in accommodation or any vehicles.
  • Dogs should be clean before entering the accommodation and only be showered using the external dog shower.
  • Towels and linen provided with the Lodge are not for dog use, please provide your own or use the designated dog towel.
  • If we consider your dog(s) to be dangerous or to be causing a nuisance, harm or threat to anyone, or that there is a reasonable risk of it doing so, we may require you to remove it from the Park (without refund or compensation).
  • All dogs must always be kept on a lead and under the control of a responsible adult. Kelling Heath is a haven for wildlife including ground nesting birds which can easily become disturbed or injured.
  • You are required to clear up after your dog(s) and dispose of any dog fouling in the dog waste bins provided around Park.
  • Well-behaved dogs on a lead are permitted in our dog-friendly facilities: Forge Bar, Brackens Café, Reception and an allocated area within our Terrace Restaurant. Except for Guide Dogs and certified assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed in any other indoor area including the Village Store and Touring Facility Blocks.
  • Dogs are not permitted in non-pet friendly accommodation, including the outside decked areas of that accommodation.

15(a) Dogs: A maximum of two, well-trained dogs are welcome in designated dog friendly lodges at Kelling Heath only. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms, on the beds, or on any of the furniture in the lodges, we ask that You provide your own dog beds. They should not be left unattended in the lodge or any vehicle.

(b) Dogs and other pets are not permitted in lodges not designated as dog friendly and holiday hire homes, or anywhere on the plots surrounding lodges and holiday hire homes at Kelling Heath and Woodhill (including in cars, kennels, cages, pet beds or pens). The Company reserves the right to require anyone who brings a dog or other pet into a lodge, holiday hire home or surrounding plot to remove it from the Park. The Company will charge You for any additional cleaning that may be required as a result of any breach of this paragraph 15(b).

(c) Nothing in these Booking & Hiring Conditions prevents You from bringing an assistance dog or Guide Dog if this is required to support Your disability, where possible we ask You to provide an identification book or appropriate evidence.

(d) A maximum of two dogs are permitted per pitch on the designated Red Squirrel touring area at Kelling Heath, and on the touring pitch areas at Woodhill Park.

(e) Certain breeds of dog are not permitted on Kelling Heath or Woodhill Park in order to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all of our guests. These are: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or a cross breed of any of the breeds shown. If You are in doubt about whether Your dog will be permitted, please contact the Park prior to booking for confirmation. The Company reserves the right to require anyone who brings a dog onto the Parks (whether or not of the breeds referred to above) which is considered dangerous, or to be causing a nuisance, harm, or threat to anyone, or that there is a reasonable risk of it doing so, to remove it from Park without refund or compensation.
