FAQ's
How big are the pitches?
Touring
pitches range in size but standard pitches are usually around 8m x 10m. We do
however have Extra Large ones for a small extra charge per night that are 13m x
14m
Do all pitches have electric hook up, I
do not wish to use electric do I still have to pay for it
All pitches have electric
hook up points included within the nightly tariff, the service is available if
required.
Can I pay when I arrive?
To be allocated a pitch all
payment is needed at the time of booking or 6 weeks prior to arrival. We can
however make provisional bookings that we can hold for 5 days without payment
at which time we would need £75 for Lodges, Holiday Hire Homes and Touring pitches to secure the
booking. During low season you can arrive without paying but you will not have
been allocated a pitch prior to your arrival.
What do I need to bring with me to check in?
Your confirmation that you
have received either through the post or via e-mail is all that is required to
check in.
For Welcome Back Breaks and the published offer for touring caravans
and tents you will need to bring the original booking confirmation with
a valid voucher code to show on arrival.
What time can I arrive/depart?
Arrival time is 12pm for
touring visitors and 3pm for Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes.
Departure time is10am for touring visitors Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday
Homes..
Do I receive discounts when booking online?
Yes provided you have a voucher code. For Welcome Back Breaks and the published offer for touring caravans and tents you will need to bring the original booking confirmation with a valid voucher code to show on arrival.

Can I request a pitch when booking online?
When booking online all
pitches are allocated in order of availability so if you have a specific pitch
you were looking to book please call our bookings team on 01263 588181
How can I pay for my holiday?
We
accept credit cards except American Express and cheques though no cheques are accepted less than 2 weeks before arrival
When/How will I receive confirmation?
Confirmation
will be sent to you on the day of booking. If this is via e-mail it will be received
the same day if it is by post please allow 2-3 working days
Can I bring pets, are they allowed in Woodland Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes?
We
do not allow any pets in our luxury holiday homes or lodges but pets are
allowed on the Red Squirrel touring area
What is the difference between the Heron,
Nightjar and Tern
Heron
and Nightjar both sleep 6 whilst the Tern sleeps 8. The major difference between
the Nightjar and Heron is that the master bedroom in the Nightjar has an
en-suite
Do I need to bring my own sheets and
bedding?
No,
all sheets and bedding are provided and the beds are made up ready
Do I need to bring towels and tea
towels?
Yes
you will need to bring your own towels and tea towels
Is accommodation wheelchair friendly?
Please

Can I choose a specific pitch?
Yes
you can, please call our bookings team on 01263 588181 to check availability as
this is not available online
Can cots/high chairs be hired?
Yes
cots and highchairs can both be hired from reception, although we do ask for a
small deposit which will be refunded when brought back. Please let us know at
the time of booking if you wish to hire one as numbers are limited
General
How far is it to the beach?
The nearest beach is
Weybourne which is about 1.5 miles away by car; however this is not a sandy
beach. The nearest sandy beach would be Sheringham and is around 3-4 miles away
Do the North Norfolk
Railway Trains stop at Kelling Heath?
Yes we have our own halt
which is a request stop, Due to the gradient steam trains can only stop on the
return journey from Holt, diesel services stop in both directions.
We also sell tickets in reception at a discounted rate
Is the Health & Fitness Club an additional cost?
The Health & Fitness Club is an
additional cost and can be booked on the day you wish to use it. Passes
available include 1, 3 and 7 days
Those occupying Woodland Lodges
have complimentary membership of the Club
I don't want to use the gym can I just
pay for a swim?
All
facilities are included within the cost of the leisure; unfortunately it is not
possible to just pay for a swim
Am I allowed to have a BBQ?
Yes
you can have a BBQ although we do ask that it is free standing and raised off
the ground
Do Woodland
Lodges and Luxury Holiday Homes have a DVD or CD player
All
lodges have both a DVD and CD player whilst the luxury holiday homes have a DVD
player.
Do I need to book tables for the
restaurants in advance?
Tables
for Brackens or the Forge and Terrace bars would not need to be booked, however
we would recommend booking for Woods in advance, please call 01263 589913 to book

How do I book acorn events?
Acorn
events can be booked from Guest Services which is situated within reception.
Please be aware that there are limited spaces available for some events and
these will be booked on a first come basis
Will I need a torch?
To help reduce light pollution and to maximise the enjoyment of the night sky lighting at Kelling Heath is kept to the main public areas and touring amenity buildings. Guests are advised to bring torches for their own convenience
