About the Activity Provider
Jon Tyler is an experienced practitioner of nature inspired outdoor activities and experiential learning. He provides an array of wildlife awareness, wild-craft, and wild-food activities both at Kelling heath and Woodhill Park.
Jon is a qualified bush-craft practitioner and member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning with 25 years of delivering exciting, engaging and inspiring outdoor experiences.

– Get back to basics and have some fun brushing up on your wild den building using natural materials to make a camouflaged woodland shelter.
We will explore materials, designs and methods of construction for simple free-standing shelters.
What will you learn on your activity?
To recognise different plant species useful for shelter making and explore available materials.
Learn about basics shelter building styles, construction and techniques.
How to make a camouflaged woodland shelter and dismantle it to leave no trace.
