Commis Chef

• Contract: Full Time, Permanent Contract of Employment
• Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week Shift/ Rota Based (Includes Evenings, Weekends and Bank Holidays)
• Reports to: Head Chef

Why we need you…

The Forge and Terrace at Kelling Heath is looking for a Commis Chef who is keen to develop their culinary skills within the different sections of the kitchen, has a desire to learn and a broad culinary palette to assist in the day to day running of our kitchen.

Whilst the role might occasionally require some overtime during school holidays this is not a 70 hour plus per week role, your work-life balance is as important to us as it is to you.

What you’ll do…

• Preparation of salads and dressing
• Preparing dishes following recipes and instructions provided
• Ensure you are maintaining high cleanliness and personal hygiene standards
• Working in all food outlets including our restaurant, Pizza outlet and Café
• This is not an exhaustive list and as we are a small team you may be asked to assist with other responsibilities within our Food and Beverage department.

What you’ll bring…

We will expect you to have some food preparation experience, ideally in a busy commercial kitchen  and an understanding of knife skills. Most of all we just need you, your passion for food and a willingness to learn.
