About the Activity Provider

Jon Tyler is an experienced practitioner of nature inspired outdoor activities and experiential learning. He provides an array of wildlife awareness, wild-craft, and wild-food activities both at Kelling heath and Woodhill Park.

Jon is a qualified bush-craft practitioner and member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning with 25 years of delivering exciting, engaging and inspiring outdoor experiences.

Fantastic facts, Fungi and games on a journey of discovery through the world of magical mushrooms and terrific toadstools.

The session will involve finding, handling and collecting a variety of fungi fruiting bodies.

 

What will you learn on your activity?

More about Fungi and their fruits; what they are, why they occur and their importance in the world.

Not suitable for dogs. Everyone is encouraged to take part in activities; there will be something of interest for all attending. This is not a session to specifically find edible mushrooms; we will be looking at and handling all different kinds of fungi species.
