About family orienteering
Low Ropes is a wonderful first step towards high rope activities, and the course provided is fantastic for those wanting to build their confidence. Participants will work in groups of three to walk along a steel wire rope that sits less than one metre from the ground. While an individual attempts this challenge, their teammates will stand either side to give support and prevent any slips or falls.
The overall objective is to complete the course without touching the ground. The group will encounter new challenges at each stage of the course, and as each level increases in difficulty, it will be up to participants to combat these obstacles as a team. We encourage individuals to put their trust in others and improve their communication skills as the levels progress. The more teamwork a group displays, the more likely they will conquer the course.
What will you learn on your activity?
This activity heavily encourages teamwork between the participants to complete the course requiring each member to work on these core skills trust, communication, balance, and confidence both in themselves and the group.
This activity is suitable for people of ages 10+ due to certain height/physical requirements placed upon participants and works best as a family activity.
When available, you can book activities from 7 days before your arrival.
