About the Activity Provider

Jon Tyler is an experienced practitioner of nature inspired outdoor activities and experiential learning. He provides an array of wildlife awareness, wild-craft, and wild-food activities both at Kelling heath and Woodhill Park.

Jon is a qualified bush-craft practitioner and member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning with 25 years of delivering exciting, engaging and inspiring outdoor experiences.

Woodland Adventure Walk

-Grab your adventure bags and head out with Jon into the woods; meet trees, discover magic spots and map your adventures as you experience the wilder-side of Kelling.

We will; look at navigation / map making, use binoculars to view wildlife, collect objects to make journey sticks or postcards, stir up some smelly cocktails, try out some games & explore the woods.

More about woodland habitats, plants and animal.

How to make best use of binoculars and the secret extra way to use them.

The fun and interesting ways that plants and materials have been used in the past and still are.

Not suitable for dogs. Everyone is encouraged to take part in activities; there will be something of interest for all attending.

In severe weather (thunder storms, or gale force winds) an alternative activity will be provided.
