Woodland Walks

There are footpaths throughout our 300 acres. Enjoy the beauty of the Norfolk countryside and panoramic views of the Weybourne coastline. Our self guided Walking Trails booklet is available from Reception and will guide you through the glorious range of habitats, wildlife and history of Kelling Heath.

The book features seven trails: Nature, History, Anniversary, Tree, Easy Access, Trim Trail and Orienteering. You can also embrace technology with the Kelling Heath iPhone Explorer App, there are two trails to follow.

If you want to use the Park as a base and explore other long distance footpaths there is a number of routes that take in more of the beautiful surrounding countryside and coast depending on how far your legs will carry you! Board the North Norfolk Steam Railway at Kelling’s own halt travelling to Sheringham or Holt and back.

Trail Activities

There is a fitness trail through the woodland if you want to keep in shape as you enjoy your surroundings, or you can try your hand at orienteering, a recreational activity which is great fun for all the family. If you enjoy cycling, you can follow Kelling’s own signed cycle route around the perimeter of the park or venture into the quiet country lanes which surround us.

Bookable Family Activities provide children and families the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities linked to the natural environment, learning more about the wildlife and work of the Norfolk countryside in a relaxed and fun way.

Guided Walks & Events

Join our seasonal activities exploring the Park and finding out more about its wealth of wildlife. A mix of guided bat, bird and general nature walks means learning about the Park couldn’t be easier. 

Cycle Hire and Repairs

We have bikes of all sizes with fixtures and fittings for children and toddlers. We are also happy to help you with any problems that need fixing with your own bike.
